He Is... A Singer
Since the age of eight, Carmine Davis, born James Thompson, has been belting every song in earshot. No matter it's country, classical, or old soul classic...it was all his. the music came so natural to him. He heard, he felt, he listened, and he sang. "It was organic, from the very beginning. It just was always something I felt. Like I HAD to sing. It's odd," Carmine says.
"Given the opportunity, I would sing all the time. When I'm sad, I sing. When I'm happy, I sing. It's just something I'm always doing". At the age of twelve, the people around him had discovered something very special about his voice. He was only twelve years old, singing notes with the vocal ability & the spirit that people more than twice his age possessed.
"If you listen to me, even on my worst days, I make it so that even if I hit a wrong note, you know I MEAN what I sing. I just feel it. I listen to the lyrics, I find a place in my heart that connects, and I just push it out. It's just a part of me."
He Is... A Songwriter
Words and Music go hand in hand to Carmine. "In order to sing a song correctly, I mean, in a way that people can feel it...YOU have to feel it. You have to listen to the words or mean what you write to portray your vocals correctly." And that's just what he does.
Writing poetry since the age of seven, Carmine was a singer-songwriting prodigy. "I remember he wrote a poem for me, and I was impressed by the maturity in his words. The way he expressed him self on paper was better than a lot of grown men. He was only six or seven years old," Carmine's mother says.
"It's really something you study. You have to listen to the words of songs, and listen to the way they express themselves. Take Stevie Wonder for example. He writes beautifully, because it's heartfelt and sometimes fun. That's how I do it. I find that place on the inside, and just like them, I express how I feel. No holding back. Just writing."
He Is... An Actor
Eighteen, and he's already a distinguished actor. "I just take on roles, and feel it out with my soul. I'm very well trained, but most of it comes from the inside. I look at the character's situation, and I think about what I would do or how I would feel in a situation like that."
No stranger to the stage, he's gained all superiors in his Thespian State Conference, and an 'Oscarinie' Nomination, in his troop for best supporting actor.
"I would like to take on more roles. I really want to break into film. Maybe a little bit later. But I love the idea of becoming and transforming into someone else. You know, giving it EVERYTHING. Blood, sweat, tears, pain, and happiness. Getting invested in someone else's story,".
He Is... Fearless
"For my debut, we've thought and discussed a lot of different ways to go about it," Carmine says. "A lot of people have to me to play it safe, because the industry is in a recession, and no one is really supporting artist's anymore, and I believed that for a while," Carmine says looking down. "But, I don't know if I believe that anymore. Life is too short. I wanna take a risk. A lot of risks."
From the daring vocals, the sultry and down right funky lyrics, and the brand new image, Carmine Davis is taking charge and taking chances. "This album is a lot more fun. It's a dance album, but it's a lot more than that. It's my introduction. I don't wanna tap on the door...I wanna kick that bitch down and hold the place up!"
Electro-pop blending with hip-hop. Sex mixing with soul. This album is a piece of pop candy for the ears and eyes. "The music is gonna be crazy, but the images I want with it are gonna be nuts. I can't wait for people to see the packaging. We haven't even made anything official yet, but when I do...it's gonna be crazy"
Get ready...because here he comes.

Okay, the plan was originally to do “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” like Brandy. Then the plans changed, and i wanted to do “I Believe I Can Fly”. I forgot those lyrics…so I decided to sing the only song I know by heart and that I could think of at that point. Hahaha. Enjoy!
Just because @4everbrandy (Brandy) did this, I’m going to do it, tomorrow! hahaha. She’s one of my biggest inspirations and one of my biggest crushes! Such a beautiful person!
By NO means do i think i’m going to even hold a CANDLE to her, but I just want to do it! Stay tuned and watch the MASTER do it! She’s AMAZING!!!! :)
